COSTA
BLANCA FIESTAS
Each
village on the Costa Blanca has their own patron saint
and so they celebrate this with a fiesta. These fiestas
are a thanksgiving and a celebration of their village
and history. They are very important to Spanish families
with members taking part in the fiesta themselves in
different capacities. This maybe taking part in the
procession, designing the costumes, lighting, preparing
food and drink or maybe getting involved in the general
organization of the fiesta.
 |
The
fiestas are magical and very colorful
occasions and are enjoyed just as much by
the tourists who love to see a splash of
real life Spanish culture.
The fiestas
can last one day or they may last up to a
week depending on the occasion they are
celebrating. With fireworks lighting the
sky, Spanish flamenca music and everyone
partying you will find that a Spanish fiesta
