If you
frequent the Spanish property Exhibitions in your
home country you will have seen property inspection
tours widely advertised along with promotions in the
national newspapers and television commercials.
These
tours are normally between 4-7 days and can be
offered free or you may be asked to pay the cost of
the flight. This could be as little as £99.00 -
£250.00 depending on the tour itinerary. Before
being accepted on the tour you will asked various
questions to ensure that the property Company can
provide all of your requirements during the tour.
Some
of the likely questions would be your budget, area
on the Costa Blanca you prefer to view property, the
type of property you would be interested in (Villa,
apartment, Townhouse, Finca etc), the level of your
interest, the period of time you would be looking to
buy. Near the sea, inland or located on a Golf
course. There may be other general questions to fill
in the gaps though the more information you provide
the better chance that your tour will be a
successful one.

The Costa
Blanca tours are normally split in two, the
North and the South. The property companies
will not be able to complete tours the full
length of the coast due to the distance to
travel. They prefer to split the tours into
two regions. Each being a specialist of
their own region. |
The
Companies will pick you up at Alicante airport and
take you straight to your hotel. If this in the
evening then they will just check you in and the
viewing will normally start the next morning.
The
property representative will double check on your
property requirements to ensure that the itinerary
they have scheduled matches your requirements. Once
this has been confirmed you will visit a wide range
of properties in the morning and afternoon. In
between you would be taken to lunch where you have
the opportunity of asking the representative any
questions regarding buying property in Spain.
The
days are long and quite tiring due to all the
information you are trying to take in. It is better
to make notes as you go and file next to the notes
any paperwork relating to that property so you do
not get them mixed up. The use of digital cameras
would be to your advantage so you can easily recap
on the days events.
You
will probably be taken to the Spanish property main
offices where you can meet the staff and see how
they operate their business. This is a great insight
into the type of Company you are dealing with.
There should be no hard sell during the tour. At no
stage are you under any obligation to buy. You are
just showing a specific interest in Spanish property
and your commitment to the tour is conformation of
this.
Some
of the Companies take you to large restaurants where
you can meet other clients on inspection tours. Here
you may be shown films and slideshows to provide you
with more information. At the end you can then ask
any questions that come to mind.
It is
always better when you have some time away from the
property tour to write down some questions that
maybe important to you so you don’t forget.
Some
of the better Companies will take you to the
builders main offices. Here you will be provided
with a quick tour of the history of the builders and
the materials that they use in any of the
developments you have seen.
Some
people are put off by these inspection tours because
they think they are going to be bullied or plied
with hard sell for days on end. Nothing could be
further from the truth. If you are seriously
interested in purchasing property then joining one
of the many Costa Blanca inspection tours is the
best decision you will make.
You
will get a real insight into the Spanish lifestyle,
the types of property available, a close look at the
builders and the materials they use and a birds eye
view of the areas of interest. All of which can be
caught on film to give you an indepth knowledge of
the area and buying property in Spain. A property
inspection tour on the Costa Blanca is highly
recommended.
