COSTA BLANCA PROPERTY

2007 saw a slowdown in the Costa Blanca Property market which reflects the trend across Europe in general. Property on the Costa Blanca has risen every year since 1998. Past years have seen price rises of around 20% but this dropped to only 5% in 2007 reflecting the market slowdown. The price of land in the Alicante province has increased by 9.3 percent over the last 12-months.

Recent stats for the Alicante region have shown that there are only 34 km of coastline that have not been built. The region has 476 km of coastline and with 120 km categorised under protected land and 322 km already built on this leaves only 34 km currently available for building.

The Costa Blanca tourism industry also continues to grow and it is expected annual numbers will grow to 20-million visitors to southern Spain by the next 5-years. It is no coincidence that tourism and property buying are both on the increase. With more and more people coming back to the region year after and year and some staying for the long winter months it makes economical sense to own your own property on the Costa Blanca.

Property prices are still very much affordable with new building developments on the southern Costa Blanca starting at only 125,000 Euros. Northern Cost Blanca is slightly more expensive though you can still get your foot on the Costa Blanca Property ladder in this region from only 150,000 Euros.

You can get some great bargains with resales on the Costa Blanca with prices starting from as little as 90,000 Euros for a 1-2 bedroom property on a secure complex.

Golf courses remain popular such as Villamartin and Polaris World which has been heavily advertised on European television commercials. With Jack Nicklaus behind the Golf course designs and luxury property available the property investors and private buyers have been purchasing steadily for the last 12-months.

Nearer the sea on the Southern Costa Blanca you will find luxury apartment developments such as Seniorio de Punta Prima. With Panorama Park and La Entrada developments now sold out the next phase is La Recoleta which is should be completed in 2007. In the North where property prices are a little higher you have the luxury La Sella Golf development properties available.

This development has been very popular with investors and private buyers for the past 3-years.

The Costa Blanca Property market is very healthy and looks set to continue to grow for the forseeable future. With property prices available to suit most budgets and areas and regions to suit most buyers tastes. It makes sense to come on a property inspection tour to see what the Costa Blanca Property market has available for you.
